풀잎새 따다 엮었어요.

Weaved from leaves

 

에쁜 꽃송이도 넣었구요.

And adorned with beautiful flowers

 

그대 노을빛에 머리 곱게 물들면 예쁜 꽃모자 씌워주고파.

I want to place the flower crown on

my love's head with her soaked in sunshine

 

냇가에 고무신 벗어놓고 흐르는 냇물에 발 담그고

I put my rubber shoes beside

the flowing stream and I dipped my feet in the water

 

언제쯤 그애가 징검다리를 건널까 하며 가슴은 두근 거렸죠.

My heart raced as I imagined my love

stepping over the stones in the stream

 

흐르는 냇물위에 노을이 분홍빛 물들이고

The setting sun dyed red the flowing stream water

 

어느새 구름사이로 저녁달이 빛나고 있네

And the moon suddenly rose through the clouds

 

노을빛 냇물위엔 예쁜 꽃모자 떠가는데

The sun dyed stream carried away flower crown

 

어느 산골 소년의 슬픈 사랑애기..
